Erasmus+ - Exchange within Europe

Erasmus+ is a European Union exchange programme involving all 28 member states, plus Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Turkey. It is one of the most successful exchange programmes in the world and offers the following benefits to selected participants:

  • Support in the preparation of the stay abroad.
  • Introduction and support at the partner university
  • Waiver of tuition fees at the partner university
  • Free online language courses in all EU languages and/or low-cost intensive language courses at the partner university
  • Recognition of achievements abroad
  • Mobility allowance of up to € 450 per month for additional costs incurred abroad

Erasmus+ Studies

The Department of Civil Engineering currently has about 40 contracts with selected European universities in 20 European countries. Every year students take advantage of this opportunity to gain experience abroad for 1 or 2 semesters.

!! Currently you can still apply until 15 July 2021 for remaining places for the SS 2022 !!

A mobility grant for these remaining places is likely, but cannot be guaranteed in advance. However, you will still benefit from the tuition fee waiver and Erasmus support on site.

For the academic year 2022/23: applications can be submitted from 04 Oct 2021 - 01 Feb 2022

Erasmus+ Internship

In addition to the Erasmus+ studies, students have the possibility to receive financial support for internships in other European countries with a minimum duration of 60 days and a maximum duration of 12 months.
The programme offers financial support but does not arrange internships. Therefore you have to look for an internship yourself. Still, the application deadlines are more flexible than those of the Erasmus Study Programme and you can apply regardless of semester times.

Scholarship holders also receive a learning agreement concluded between them, the university and the internship location, which guarantees recognition of the work done abroad (e.g. ETCS or entry in the Diploma Supplement).

For more information and applications, please contact the KOOR - the coordination office for practical study semesters.

The completed and signed application form from KOOR has to be sent together with your current KIT study certificate to erasmus-outUqg7∂intl kit edu for signature.
